It's Freedom Fest time in East Moline. Not only will you get to enjoy a car show, live music and festival fun, you can also be part of the new shade and lighting project.

There will be a ribbon cutting at 8 p.m. Saturday, August 21 in downtown East Moline at Runners Park, 742 15th Ave. to dedicate the new shade and lighting project.
But before the ceremony, you can enjoy a whole days worth of fun at the fifth annual Freedom Festival. Check out the list of activities that includes fun for the whole family.
1 p.m. – Bags Tournament. Register in advance here or sign up day of. Please download the Scoreholio app.
2 p.m. – Car show, vendor fair, pinup contest and food truck competition begin.
3 p.m. - @Big River Brass Band will take the stage.
4 p.m. - Dani Lynn Howe Band will perform.
7 p.m. – Results of the food truck competition will be announced, and the raffle winner will be picked.
8 p.m. - The Final Mix Show Band will close out the evening with live music until 11 p.m.
