Today, the Davenport Central Marching Blue Devils load up and hit the road for Indianapolis to the Bands of America Grand Nationals.

The band will be the sole representative for the state of Iowa, competing with 98 other bands from around the country on the field at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Their performance will be streamed live, with the band taking the field at 11am Thursday for their preliminary performance.

Davenport Central Marching Blue Devils' 2021 show theme is titled SNOW, featuring music from Carol of the Bells, pieces from The Nutcracker, and The Hymn of Acxiom.

In their 2021 season, the 160 member high school marching band competed in six competitions in Iowa and Illinois, where they walked away from each with Grand Champion placement and multiple caption awards, and advanced to the finals at a Bands of America regional competition for the first time in the school's history.
