Iowans, hang on a second before you get too shutter button happy.

With some pictures you see, you can deduce that it's clearly a bad idea to take a picture in that place or situation but for some in Iowa, it's just flat illegal.

Illinois has some places where you can't take pictures too but there are some differences between it and Iowa. For example, voting booth selfies are illegal in Illinois, but they are allowed in Iowa.

This takes me back to my senior year in 2010. Bringing old luggage to the railroad track was such a trendy thing to do for senior pics. Because, you know, wanderlust and whatever.

The Des Moines Register has reported that state officials are warning teens to not do that exact thing because it could be a misdemeanor for trespassing. Plus there could be a felony charge of child endangerment against a professional photographer taking pictures of an underage student on the tracks.

Iowa Code isn't a fan of using handheld devices when you're driving because it's considered distracted driving. Probably not a good idea to try taking a selfie while you're driving anyway.

If you have a hot pic or video of someone on your phone, you had better have their permission. Otherwise, in Iowa, It's an aggravated misdemeanor for invasion of privacy.
