Man Arrested After Walking Naked Through Tolland Restaurant
A 42-year-old man is facing charges after an incident at a local restaurant on Friday evening where he walked naked through the dining area while families, including children, were eating.
The Incident at Papa T’s
Andrew F. Kinghorn, of Ellington, was arrested and charged with two counts of risk of injury to a minor and second-degree breach of peace. The event occurred around 6:10 p.m. Friday at Papa T’s on Merrow Road (Route 195). According to police, Kinghorn entered the restaurant fully clothed, sat down at the counter, and asked for a menu. He then went to the restroom and remained inside for approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
Shock as Kinghorn Emerges from Restroom
When Kinghorn emerged from the restroom, he was completely naked, causing alarm among the patrons, including those with children. State police confirmed that children were among the customers at the time of the incident.
Police Arrive and Arrest Kinghorn
Troopers arrived to find Kinghorn still unclothed, but he complied with their order to put his clothes back on. He was arrested without further incident and later posted $20,000 bail. Kinghorn is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Rockville on Dec. 11.
No injuries were reported during the incident, though many patrons were shaken by what took place. Police have not released additional details regarding Kinghorn's actions.
