DoorDash Driver Caught on Camera Putting Dropped Chicken Wing Back in Container

A Florida family was left stunned after their DoorDash delivery took a disturbing turn — all captured on their Ring camera. Trena Brown of Orange Park says she never would have known what happened to her family’s food if she hadn’t checked the footage.

Wing Falls on the Ground, Driver Puts It Back

The video shows the driver removing several containers from his insulated DoorDash bag when a box of boneless wings slips out and hits the concrete. Instead of notifying the customer, the driver picks up the fallen wing, places it back into the container, and tries to rub away a smear of sauce on the ground with his shoe. The footage then shows him walking away while “licking a dollop of sauce off his fingers,” according to Brown.

Customer Demands Better Training and Standards

Brown said that the entire incident made her rethink food delivery. “If he can’t deliver food with due care, then maybe there’s something else out there for him to do. Secondly, on DoorDash’s behalf, I’m not really sure what the training is, but maybe it’s time to bring the drivers in or require them to have some type of training,” she said. Brown added that she hasn’t ordered takeout again since the incident.

DoorDash Responds to the Controversy

DoorDash issued a statement acknowledging that the driver’s behavior was “well below the level of service” the company strives to provide. The company said it has launched an investigation and issued a warning to the driver.

The incident has sparked conversation about delivery standards, transparency, and the responsibility companies have to ensure customers receive food handled with proper care.
