Join The Tradition: East Moline Firefighters’ Pancake Breakfast Celebration
Before you enjoy fireworks on the night of the 4th of July, enjoy some fluffy golden goodness served by the East Moline Firefighters for a great cause.
The East Moline Fire Fighters Association is hosting its annual Pancake Breakfast on July 4th to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
The East Moline Fire Department has hosted this event for over ten years now and put a great deal of effort and pride into making it a success, all made possible by generous donors in the Quad City community.
This year is a special one, as we are honoring EMFD retiree Fiona Arrizza, who we lost to cancer a short while ago. Fiona is the dedicated individual who started the pancake breakfast and we continue on in her memory.
The breakfast is held in conjunction with the Firecracker Run.
Your local East Moline Firefighters are your hosts, your cooks, your servers, and your clean-up crew. They also bring along several retirees and family members to assist, as it takes multiple hands to ensure that all diners and donors have a pleasant and relaxing experience.
As all proceeds benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association, which helps sends several local youths suffering from some form of Muscular Dystrophy to Summer Camp.
