You Can Become A Pinball Wizard This Weekend In Illinois

Do you have fast fingers and reflexes like a cat?  Can you balance the little silver ball just right and shoot it into the bonus round?  Then maybe you can be the pinball champion this weekend!

Now, when I play pinball, I don't pick a machine based on skill level.  I pick one that fits my likes.  Star Wars, Marvel, music- that is where my eyes and fingers go.

For this weekend, over 24 pinball machines will be set up in the room between the Rust Belt and Midwest Ale Works.  Hopefully, you are good at all those even if they don't fit your likes.

From March 6th to March 9th, there will be 4 pinball tournaments for players of all ages and skill levels.   The four tournaments are Main, Split Flipper, 3 Strike Knockout, and Women’s Metallica Launch Party.

Play Based On Your Skill Level

There are 4 different style tournaments.

1 - You can play during the available qualifying times that work best for you.  Players can purchase unlimited tickets to play individual games on the tournament machines. Each player's best score on each machine is recorded and ranked against the other competitors' scores using Match Play Events software.

2 - The Split Flipper Pinball Tournament is Friday night and open to all players.  This event is a fun and simple way to play pinball with a partner.  Teams of 2 sign up and play in a team vs team format where one person plays the left flipper and your teammate plays the right flipper.

3 - The 3 Strikes Bounty Knockout Pinball Tournament will be held Saturday night.  You’ll be placed in groups of 3 or 4 in each round and play a selected pinball machine.  Strikes will be given out to the last-place finisher in a 3-player group or the 3rd and 4th place finisher in a 4-player group.  Once you receive a 3rd strike, you are “knocked out”!  Play continues until there is only one player left standing.

4 - The Women’s Metallica Launch Party Tournament Hosted by B&C E. Iowa.  Only $5 to enter.  All ages and skill levels and just for the ladies!  Host Emily Gross will guide you through this fun format with a lot of Metallica Remastered Pinball to rock!
