THE BIG DAY IS APPROACHING! This year's Independence Day is on Monday, July 4th. Several fun events and activities will be happening all weekend, July 1-3. What you should be marking in your calendars, however, is the Red White and BOOM Firework Display on July 3rd starting at 9:30 p.m. Admission is FREE and there are several places you can view the show from!

"See the largest fireworks display in the Quad Cities shot from two barges in the middle of the Mississippi River! Tune into 97x and listen to the soundtrack this year’s fireworks are choreographed to! All of our prime viewing areas provide picturesque space to view the fireworks over the Mighty Mississippi! "

Best Viewing Areas

 Each location has different events going on, here is what you can expect from each:

LeClaire Park

Magician David Casas 

Iowa’s Premier Corporate & Family Entertainer David Casas has been making audiences laugh for over 20 years with his award-winning magic and comedy. He will be performing three 15-minute shows starting at 6 p.m., 7 p.m., and  8 p.m.

Live Music at the Bandshell

Identity Crisis Band - 6 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Central Illinois classic rock band featuring music from the '70s, 80's, and 90's.

Kids Zone

A place for the kids to be kids. From 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. there will be Bounce houses, a NASCAR simulator, yard games, misting station & more!

Food & Drinks

Food Trucks on Beiderbecke from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Schwiebert Riverfront Park

Gates open at 5 p.m. make sure to bring your own lawn chair!

Entertainment

Live Music from DJ Jeff James - 5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Followed by tribute band Class of '82 at 6:30 p.m. Jeff James has entertained the Quad Cities for over 20 years and is considered among the best in the business. Class of '82 - New Wave Tribute performs fun and catchy New Wave / Synthpop / Alt music from iconic bands/artists, one-hit wonders, and those hidden gems that deserved a little more love.

For the Kids

Glow sticks will be available for purchase along with face painting for the kids.

Food & Drinks

A wide variety of food vendors will be in attendance along with a Beer Garden by Bent River Brewing Company.

In order to view the fireworks from the stadium, a ticket will have to be purchased. The game is expected to sell out.
