Government Bridge

The Government Bridge will close to vehicle traffic on Tuesday, Jan. 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The reason for the closure of because repair work needs to be done that requires a crane to be placed on the bridge.

Officials with the Rock Island Arsenal announced that the Government Bridge will be closed on Saturday, Oct. 5th for most of the day for cleaning of the bridge.

A high-traffic bridge will close for 4 months this year.

There are traffic updates in the Quad Cities ahead of the weekend.

Look for a different route on Saturday. The Government Bridge will be closed June 27.

If you use the Government bridge on the weekends you may want to choose a different route on Saturday.
