What Beer Is This?

This looks like a regular beer right? It is if you consider Sweet Potato Ale from Bent River Brewery a regular beer. With Oktobeerfest presented by Boetje's Mustard happening this Saturday at LeClaire Park I decided I wanted to get a head start and check out a bunch of the beers that you can try this weekend.

You might think with a name like Sweet Potato Ale it would taste just like a sweet potato but this wheat beer actually only has a hint of the sweet potato taste. It has more of a wheat taste with a taste of spice that goes down pretty smooth. This is a beer I could see myself drinking more and more of as I got used to it. At first I wasn't sure about it but by the end of the bottle I liked the taste. I normally don't try beers that have a fruit or veggie in the title but I'd recommend you try this Bent River Brew.
