If you were watching last night's Super Bowl between the Bengals and the Rams, there's a good chance you caught at least a handful of the new commercials. But, did you happen to see the one that mentioned the state of Iowa?

According to a new article from the Des Moines Register, the small town of Gravity, Iowa was briefly mentioned in a new TurboTax ad starring the popular TV character Ted Lasso. The article reads:

"Turbo Tax Live's 2022 'Matchmaker' ad riffs on dating apps to tout how the tax preparation service offers a tax preparer for every type of person, including a man who invests in cryptocurrency from his home in Gravity, Iowa."

In the ad, the Iowa crypto guy goes on to rip off his face, revealing that he is actually Ted Lasso, the beloved coach from the Apple TV+ series of the same name. The character is played by actor Jason Sudeikis, who then goes on to transform back into the woman in the beginning of the commercial. It sounds strange, but it'll make much more sense when you actually watch the ad:

We don't know why Gravity, Iowa was chosen to be mentioned in the commercial, but we do know that it is an actual town in Iowa. Wikipedia reports that it's located in Taylor County, which is over in the Southwest part of the state. When we say it's small, we really mean it! The population in 2020 was only 154, and the only attractions seem to be a playground and a post office.
