
Millions of Above-Ground Pools Recalled in Illinois
With the Summer 2025 season coming to an end, many of you will have already bought your pools. If it’s an above-ground pool, be careful. This recall is nationwide. According to the CSPC, they were sold at Walmart, Target, Sears, Lowe’s, Kmart, Toys “R” Us, Sam’s Club, The Home Depot, Big Lots, Costco, and BJ’s.
As of now, multiple deaths have been reported. This recall is linked to a tragic situation following those fatalities. It’s not an easy topic to discuss, but it’s an important one to be aware of.

A total of 5 million pools are part of the recall. They are all above-ground pools that are 48 inches or taller with compression straps. They were sold under four different brand names.
