KWQC reports that Davenport police are investigating an accident that has left one adult and a 12-year-old child dead, while 3 others have been injured.

An SUV driven by a 31-year-old woman reportedly went out of control, hit a bridge, and came to rest on its side in Duck Creek. That SUV driver was pronounced dead at the scene by officials, and a 12-year-old was also pronounced dead after being taken to a nearby hospital.

In addition, a 10-year-old child suffered life-threatening injuries and was flown to a state hospital. An 8-year-old and 9-month-old were treated at a local hospital for minor injuries, police said.
