As we all know, the Quad-City Times Bix 7 is a staple summer event in the Quad Cities. It goes right up Brady Street and right past the B100 studios and since it didn't happen last year, I'm super excited to see you run past us in July!

Before we get to the 2021 Bix 7, you need to get prepared and use to running up Brady. This Thursday is the first of three Bix @ 6 training runs.

Officials from the Bix 7 say the Iowa American Water Bix @ 6 training runs start at 6 p.m. this Thursday, June 24, which is the first of three Bix @ 6's. The other two are on July 1 and July 8.

Those who have run the Bix in the past know that the Bix @ 6 training races are tradition. If you have registered for the Quad-City Times Bix 7, Prairie Farms Quick Bix, or Arconic Jr Bix, officials invite you to join the hundreds that train every Thursday on a safe and secure course.

Participants who register online the day of, in-person at, or volunteers for one of the Bix @ 6 training runs will receive a special “Bix at 6” t-shirt for free.

The start line for the Bix @ 6's is at the intersection of 4th and LeClaire Streets. Parking is in the Quad-City Times parking lot.

A full list of training times can be found here. To register for the 2021 Bix 7, click here.

Officials say that social-distancing guidelines will be followed and ask that people keep a 3’ distance from other participants.

Unvaccinated participants are asked to wear a mask before they cross the start line and after they cross the finish line.

For those who want to volunteer at the Bix @ 6, they need to contact Scott at shoag@netins.net.
