If going to the library isn't of interest to you, maybe adding alcohol to the mix will convince you to stop by. The Camanche Public Library is hosting a wine tasting event that is free for people to enjoy. This article is a little short notice as the event is happening tomorrow.

The Camanche Public Library (102 12th Ave) is inviting residents and anyone looking for something to do Friday night to stop in for a little fun. They will be hosting a wine tasting event happening tomorrow, Friday, April 29th. The event will begin at 5 p.m. and end at 7 p.m.

I spoke with a nice lady at the Camanche Public Library (apologies for not catching her name), who gave me some more information about the wine tasting event.

She told me that the event is free for everyone. They will even have assorted finger desserts like cupcakes. They will also have different wines to taste from wineries like the Galena Winery, Wide River Winery, TYCOGA Winery & Distillery, and other donated wines from library patrons.

While the event is free, it is assumed that only those that are 21 and over will be able to same the wine.

The Camanche Public Library's normal Friday hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., but they will be reopening their doors for the fun event.

The nice lady at the Camanche Public Library told me this is an event for people to just come and mingle while enjoying free wine samples and desserts.

There was no word if you can check out a book while you are there, but this is a great reason to head to the library.
