Cars and Music on My Mind – Rod & Custom Car Show in the QC This Weekend

Driving is truly one of my favorite past-times. Driving in a classic car, like what's on display at the Rod & Custom car show each year (my fav is a '57 Chevy) woos me to jump in, crank up some tunes and just drive.

There are so many classic cars, trucks and hot rods to choose from, I honestly don't know where to begin. While I have my personal favorites, I wouldn't complain if I got to go for a cruise in any of the vehicles at the Diamonds on the Avenue 33rd Annual Rod & Custom car show. That's going on this weekend, downtown Rock Island, IL. at the QCCA Expo Center.

What are my favorite, Top 3 driving songs?

1. 'Fast Cars and Freedom' by Rascal Flatts ('Life is a Highway' is a great one too!)

Best car line: "I see a dust trail following an old red Nova
Baby blue eyes, your head on my shoulder"

2. 'Johnny Cash' by Jason Aldean

Best car line: " Throw your suitcase in the back, done gassed up the Pontiac, blastin' out the Johnny Cash." (Because I can't think of anything better than driving with Johnny Cash cranked either!)

3. 'Cruise' by Florida Georgia Line

Best line: "Baby you a song, you make me wanna roll my windows down and cruise."
