Craig’s List: 4 Things to Know – 7/7
Lucky day? 7th day of the 7th month.
1 - It's a gorgeous morning in the Quad Cities as attested to by the photo above that I took as I crossed the Government Bridge this morning. The humidity will dissipate as the day goes on too. WQAD Meteorologist Taylor Graham has the forecast details for your weekend here.
2 - The Quad City Times reports that Bettendorf wants to join Davenport in restricting and enforcing fireworks use after the July 4th weekend saw hundreds of complaints filed. It's hoped a set of rules can be hammered out that would be consistent across Scott County.
3 - The River Bandits completed the sweep with a 13-3 pasting of the Kane County Cougars last night. A four-game weekend series against Clinton begins tonight at Modern Woodmen Park. Catch the play-by-play on our sister station KBOB 1170 beginning at 6:35pm. Scores and more when we do That Sports Thing at 7:40-ish.
4 - Nashville-based funk group, and Quad Cities favorite Here Come The Mummies are back in The District tonight. The one-of-a-kind show starts at 8pm in front of RIBCO. More entertainment news when we do That Hollywood Thing at around 8:40am on FM 104-9.
Have a great weekend.
