That may seem like a long time, but the library is undergoing  $1.6 million in renovations. That's a relatively short time to undergo that amount of improvements.

The library will close Dec. 28 through March, 2021.

This location has always been one of my favorite libraries. It was built back in 1968 and could probably use some updating. The renovation project will include creation of individual study rooms, a new first floor public meeting room, more defined children's area, new spaces for teens, new public use computer space and a 'flex' space that can be used for whatever needs the library has moving forward.

The Main Street location is now closed for pick-up items. If you have something already on reserve, you'll have until the end of the day Saturday, Dec. 26 using curbside delivery.

The Eastern Avenue, 6000 Eastern Avenue and Fairmount Street, 3000 Fairmount Street locations are still open for curbside delivery and drive through window holds and pickups and computer appointments.
