Festivals, live events, and concerts always give us Iowans something to look forward to! Now, Burlington community members have that to look forward to as well. The city will debut its new 'Burlington River Days' festival on the riverfront from June 12-14.

It is always great to see more and more local events open to the public pop up. WQAD 8 reported the events locals can enjoy this summer.

Some of the performances scheduled include country artist Jake Clayton and rock bands Ghost of Judas and Saliva. Officials said all of the concerts are free. Live attractions include a carnival and boat parade.

Local parades are always a highlight in any community!

This event is organized by the Partners for Conservation Foundation, officials stated that proceeds from the event will go toward supporting local conservation efforts and outdoor recreation. As the name shows, this will have an emphasis on developing the local riverfront which will make the area even more beautiful.
