I had a great weekend cheering on the Reynolds Ball Association's Dreamers Day event, along with the Ghost Players from in Dyersville, IA. from the 'Field of Dreams' movie, starring Kevin Costner.  I even got the best seat in the house! See the weekend in pics!

I always have a million questions for guys with such a deep history in both the film and baseball.  I loved meeting them and got to hang out after their celebrity ball game against the Rockridge All-Star Team. Three of the original cast members of the film were there, telling me of all the opportunities that opened up once the film hit theaters.

At first, they told me, they didn't think the movie was going to be much. They filmed for 100 days, mostly in the same dirty 'uniforms', although the film crews kept calling them "costumes." We laughed about it and one said, "They were uniforms to us!"

Each Ghost Player had their own sense of humor to bring to the table and a unique story of how they got involved and for how long. I can't begin to do our conversation justice here. All I can say is I hope you make it to Dyersville, IA. to the Field of Dreams to see them or catch one of their comedy routines when they come through.

Enjoy a few pics from the Dreamers Day event in Reynolds, IL.
