Duck Creek Needs Some Tidying And You Can Help
Duck Creek Wild is hosting an XStream cleanup event “IN” Duck Creek this Saturday, September 15 from 8:30-11:30 am.
The cleanup happens in, and along Duck Creek, starting from two locations, one at Northwest Park and one at Junge Park.
According to the City of Davenport's website, volunteers with canoes and canoeing experience are welcome and encouraged to participate, as we will be cleaning from within Duck Creek and along its banks.
It's a great opportunity to enjoy and protect our water resources and the weather seems perfect for it.
IF you plan to be in the water working in the creek you must be 18 years or older, and must wear a PFD in waters above the knee. You can find event details here.
