Earlier this week, we mentioned how the weather has been quiet so far this spring. We've only seen one Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued from the National Weather Service of the Quad Cities, and that was back in April for some southern counties in the listening area. Don't expect any severe weather or rain anytime soon, especially this weekend!

If you were hoping for hot weather to go out on the Mississippi River, swim in a pool or get your tan on, your wish was been granted. Starting on Friday, highs will be in the upper 80's and a little breezy, with winds gusting as high as 20 mph. Saturday and Sunday is going to be warmer. Highs will be in the upper 80's and even reach the lower 90's on Saturday and Sunday.

Humidity levels are expected to be low this weekend. Here is your Quad Cities weekend forecast, according to the National Weather Service of the Quad Cities:

    • Sunny, with a high near 87. West wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
  • Friday Night
    • Clear, with a low around 67. Southwest wind around 10 mph.
  • Saturday
    • Sunny, with a high near 89.
  • Saturday Night
    • Clear, with a low around 69.
  • Sunday
    • Sunny, with a high near 89.
  • Sunday Night
    • Partly cloudy, with a low around 70.

A chance of rain will be back in the forecast starting on Monday evening. Humidity levels are expected to rise at the start of next week as well.
