If you find yourself driving through the Midwest, you will most likely see a deer crossing sign. If you find yourself driving from Iowa to Illinois, you will most likely see a few deer along the way. You may also see a goofy sign. Recent reports show that there is a ton of deer in Iowa and Illinois.

Iowa deer populations fluctuate due to disease and changes in habitat, but are also controlled by hunting female deer. Iowa DNR engages hunters and landowners across the state, in addition to various data sets, to inform its deer management programs and create county-specific plans.

Obviously graffiti is illegal in Iowa, it is vandalism. mccarthyhamrock.com covers it best

Damaging, defacing, altering, spray-painting, or doing other acts of vandalism can unfortunately put you in an Iowa courtroom. Acts of vandalism under the Iowa Code are referred to as criminal mischief. The crime carries various penalties ranging from a minor misdemeanor to a serious high-class felony charge.

That being said, it is very funny to see and doesn't really hurt anyone. I've got a before-and-after photo of a popular farting deer sign from a summer a few years ago.

Have You Seen A Farting Deer?

I'm convinced that there are more of these funny deer signs out there, maybe even in the Quad Cities. If you see one (and can safely get a picture) Please send it to me! I don't know why, but this is my favorite thing ever!

This is a popular prank that has been seen all over. I just recently saw it on my way to Illinois and figured I’d share the story with you. While this is funny, it’s also important to always watch out for deer while driving. Stay safe, everyone!
