Here's a great way to get into the holiday spirit. Festival of Trees needs volunteers and practically the whole family can get involved. The Festival starts Nov. 23 and runs through Dec. 1 in Davenport. 

Festival of Trees committee member say the festival would not be possible without the thousands of volunteers who take part every year and make it possible for Quad City Arts to raise much-needed funding for quality arts programming for the residents of six counties in eastern Iowa and western Illinois.

Volunteers must be at least 16 years old, unless accompanied by proper adult supervision.

Here are just some of the jobs you can do.

►REINDEER GAMES: Join in the fun of working with children as they play games, learn new skills, make crafts, or have their faces painted.This position has both standing and seated opportunities.
► RAFFLE TICKET SALES: Greet guests and invite them to purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win prizes. This position involves both standing and walking.
► GINGERBREAD VILLAGE: Sell gingerbread creations and raffle tickets; answer questions guests may have. This position has an opportunity for sitting down.
► FLOAT: Help out at Festival where you’re needed. You may be checking hand stamps at an admissions gate, selling raffle tickets, or spending time in the North Pole. This position may be standing or seated.
► VOLUNTEER CENTER: This person will make sure name tags are available for all volunteers. (Creating one if needed) Shift work consists of check in / check out of all volunteers at beginning/end of shifts worked and distribute the Festival ticket at completion of shifts worked. Volunteers must be comfortable using a computer and will need excellent customer service skills and attentive to volunteers coming/going.

► COAT CHECK: Greet guests as they arrive and help them hang coats. This position may be standing or seated.
