As hard as it is to believe, the 2023 Iowa State Fair starts on Thursday, August 10. There will be 11 headline acts who will perform at the main grandstand during fair and plenty of free entertainment around the fairgrounds in Des Moines.

Here are the performers on the Anne and Bill Riley Stage:

  • August 10-11 Rockland Road (country band with 6-part harmony and pop/r&b influence).
  • August 12 2023 Iowa State Fair Queen Coronation
  • August 13 Latino Celebration
  • August 14-18 Hypnotist Ron Diamond
  • August 19 Country Gold – LeRoy Van Dyke, Mandy Barnett, David Frizzell
  • August 20 CAIN (Christian country trio)

On the MidAmerican Energy Stage:

The Fun Forest Stage will feature comedy and tricks by Fantastick Patrick as well as the Barrel O'Fun magic show, both from August 10 through 20.

As you're making your way around the fairgrounds, you'll also see chainsaw artists, Bruno's Tiger Show, The Red Trouser Show, Bandaloni (one-man band), The Strolling Piano, transforming robot vehicles (Robocars), sandscapes, Brian Sobaski's Straw Art, and more.

The theme for the 2023 Iowa State Fair is BEST DAYS EVER! It certainly looks like they will be.
