Hy-Vee Debuts First Infusions Clinic in Iowa
One of the largest grocery chains in Iowa has doubled-down on their commitment to healthcare as they've announced the grand opening of the first Hy-Vee Health Infusion Clinic.
The infusion clinic will be located near their West Des Moines store, at 7300 Westown Parkway, Suite 320. The clinic is referral-based and will provide treatment for the following conditions:
- Rheumatology
- Gasroenterology
- Pulmonary
- Neurology
- Dermatology
- Oncology
- Other chronic conditions
Per a press release, the Hy-Vee Health Infusion Clinic continues the company's commitment to providing individuals with quality specialty care. Since 2014, Hy-Vee has operated Amber Specialty Pharmacy, an award winning specialty pharmacy provider licensed in 50 states with 19 locations across the United States. Amber Specialty Pharmacy specializes in providing personalized care for patients with complex conditions.
Aaron Wiese, the President of Hy-Vee, Inc., spoke proudly about the opening of the Infusions Clinic:
We are proud to open our first Hy-Vee Health infusion clinic as we expand our focus toward providing trusted, high-quality care to infusion patients. As an independent clinic, Hy-Vee Health is an affordable, convenient and accessible option for patients who face chronic and complex conditions. Our vision for Hy-Vee Health is to provide convenient, cost-effective health solutions for patients across the United States.
For more than 50 years, Hy-Vee has operated retail pharmacies with more than 275 locations currently across eight Midwestern states. The retailer has invested heavily in other health and wellness areas by employing a team of registered dietitians and creating a free educational program for children called Hy-Vee KidsFit that promotes physical activity and healthy lifestyle habits.
Most recently, the retailer introduced telehealth and online pharmacy provider RedBox Rx, pharmacy benefit manager Vivid Clear Rx, and e-commerce health and wellness site WholeLotta Good. Hy-Vee is one of only a handful of retailers in the nation to operate its own fleet of mobile health units in an effort to provide greater health care accessibility throughout the communities it serves.
Expansion is imminent, from the sounds of it. Several additional Hy-Vee Health Infusion Clinics are planned to open later this year across the U.S. For patients and providers who want to learn more, visit the Hy-Vee Health Infusions Clinic's official website.
