While there is no announcement from the Quad City Air Show as of yet, it would look as though the area's air show may be making a return in 2023.

The Announcement:

Tuesday, the Air Force Thunderbirds took to their Facebook page to announce their 2022 and 2023 Show Seasons.

In 2023, they marked June 24-25 as shows in Davenport, IA.

As we all know, the Quad City Air Show is always held at the Davenport Municipal Airport.

The Wikipedia Page:

If you go take a look at the Quad City Air Show Wikipedia page, it's been updated as well.

2020 through 2022 are marked as "No Airshow," but 2023 has been changed to show the same as the Thunderbirds announcement, with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds marked as the headliner for a 2023 show.

The last time the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds performed at the Quad City Air Show was in 2012.

If you haven't seen the Thunderbirds, their show is an experience you won't forget. They're the best of the best pilots, with supreme acrobatic skill and precision flying that's unmatched (except perhaps the Blue Angels, of course).

No other acts have been announced for a 2023 air show, and the Quad City Air Show website shows a 404 Not Found message.

The 2020 air show was cancelled due to the pandemic, and no further shows have officially been announced.

What The Quad Cities Did For Fun in the 90's

Many times over the years, I'll be talking with friends about years gone by and I'll say "take me back".

Let's go back to the 1990's to Wacky Waters, 50 Cent Beer night and revisit Mallards Mania!
