Young Cancer Survivor Gets a Day to Remember at the Ballpark [Watch]
After a battle with cancer, one little baseball fan got to have a day to remember, thanks to MLB and a social media sensation.
Sam is a cancer survivor and a huge Philadelphia Phillies fan. He was desperate to go see his favorite team play on opening day, when the Phillies took on the Atlanta Braves this year, so he decided to sell some lemonade to see if he could raise enough money for a ticket.
That's when Zachery Dereniowski, known as MD Motivator on social media, stepped up.
Not only did Sam get to see the Phillies on opening day, but he got to go on the field and meet players and even high-five the team mascot, the big green Phillies Phanatic.
Sadly for Sam and other Phillies fans, the Fighting' Phils came up short on opening day, but for Sam it will be a day he won't forget.
MD Motivator has a bit of a history with doing things like this, as he has made other little kids' dreams come true. To check out some of his other videos, visit his Instagram page at @mdmotivator.
