How the Contest Works:

There's no shortage of possibilities when it comes to designing a skyline. It could be used to honor a loved one. It could honor a personal milestone, such as an anniversary or marriage. Or it could be as simple as choosing your favorite color in which to bathe the city of Chicago for an evening.

One winner will be randomly selected on August 28th. Per BOMA/Chicago, the selected individual will:

  • Choose a meaningful date in 2027 for their lighting campaign
  • Collaborate with BOMA/Chicago to design a lighting display
  • See their concept come to life across participating downtown buildings for a three- to seven-day period
  • Receive an included professional photoshoot by Barry Butler capturing the winner and their skyline moment

The lighting campaign will be announced publicly via BOMA/Chicago, which will afford Chicagoans the awareness of the day/purpose behind the custom skyline.
