Lock 11 in Dubuque Hiring for Several Positions Ahead of Grand Opening
Excitement is brewing as the opening of the new restaurant and bar draws closer. Slated to open in late May 2026, Lock 11 — located atop the Key Hotel adjacent to Q Casino + Resort in Dubuque — promises to be "Dubuque's Most Elevated Table" in more ways than one.
Beyond the obvious fact that the restaurant is high in the sky, Lock 11 is predicated on "elevated dining, handcrafted cocktails, and panoramic views of the Mississippi River and historic riverfront," per their website. As much as its success will be tied to the future of Dubuque, it will undoubtedly adhere and honor the oldest city in Iowa and its respective legacy.

The Food & Beverage Directors Behind Lock 11:
Lock 11 Food & Beverage (F&B) Director Miles Breed, as well as Assistant F&B Director Joseph Clark were kind enough to stop by the studio to chat about all that they envision the rooftop restaurant and bar to be. Most imperatively, however, while the vision is in place, the execution will rest on those who make it possible: cooks, servers, hosts, bartenders, and more.
That's why Lock 11 is presently conducting job interviews for all positions. Walk-in interviews are happening now through Saturday, May 2nd at Q Casino + Resort. The hours for those walk-in interviews are as follows, per Lock 11's Facebook page:
Q Casino + Resort Administrative Offices:
- Wednesday (4/29) and Thursday (4/30): 10am - 7pm
- Friday (5/1): 10am - 5pm
The Key Hotel Lobby:
- Saturday (5/2): 10am - 9pm
Breed and Clark kept a lot of details regarding Lock 11's food and cocktail menu close to their vest, only adding to the suspense and curiosity that's been surrounding this venture since its announcement a few years back.
