An accident early Monday morning left a 25-year-old dead.

According to a release obtained by our news partner KWQCaround 2:50 in the morning on Monday, October 23rd, officers, fire, and medics responded to the 5900 block of Brady Street (towards the area leaving Davenport). Preliminary investigation shows that the car was going northbound on Brady Street when it went off the road, grazed a pole, and came to rest north of 59th Street. It was the only vehicle involved in the accident.

Police found that the car's driver, a 25-year-old man, was not wearing his seat belt at the time and was ejected from the car. Medic EMS took him to a hospital where he died from his injuries.

At the time of the crash, there were 3 other passengers in the car: a teenager and two adults. Police said in the release that there was also a 16-year-old in the car and that passenger was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Besides the teen, there were two other adult passengers in the car and they were treated by medics and released at the scene. No names have been released of the people involved in the accident and no other details have been made available. Police say the crash is still under investigation.
