Road Closure Map Released For Davenport’s 2026 Bix 7
And the Bix is back for year 52.
It's that time of the year again: Bix 7 weekend. Saturday morning at 8:00, the 52nd Quad-City Times Bix 7 race returns.
If you're bored on Bix weekend, that's on you. Even if you're not running the Bix, you can put your stamina (and liver) to work at the festivities in downtown Davenport. But there are also some road closures downtown you need to know about.
Not all road closures on only on Saturday. They will run now through Sunday.
One of the newer parties is the Motor Row Victory Lane, which will close off 2nd Street between Iowa and Perry.
Parking will be free at 3 of the parking ramps (Harrison Ramp, RiverCenter Ramp, Redstone Ramp) on Saturday until 5:00 p.m. Besides the parking in the ramps, there's more parking along the riverfront and at Centennial Park.
There will also be a pedestrian path opening on 3rd & Pershing at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday for easier access to downtown.
Meanwhile, on the immediate riverfront, the Freight House Farmers Market will be open 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
There are plenty of parties going on downtown, including the iconic Bix Mix on 3rd Street in front of Daiquiri Factory. If you're feeling more lowkey on Saturday, there's jazz in the courtyard at Kaiserslautern Square.
Of course, if you're going downtown for anything this weekend, police advise you to leave early and give yourself a few extra minutes to get somewhere.
Whether you're running or boozing, stay hydrated my friends.
