Pennsylvania Man Arrested For Second DUI 17 Minutes After Release From First DUI Arrest
A man driving a farm vehicle in Pennsylvania was arrested for DUI . . . just 17 MINUTES after he was released from custody after being arrested for a previous DUI.
LANCASTER COUNTY, PA.
In a shocking turn of events, a man from Lancaster was arrested twice for driving under the influence within a span of just 17 minutes.
The 49-year-old driver was operating a farm vehicle on the evening of September 16th when he tried to flee the scene of a crash involving a 1974 International Harvester 4000 series and a 2011 Toyota RAV4. According to the police, the tractor driver was drunk when the accident happened, and the driver of the RAV4 followed him to get his attention.
According to the crash report, the farm vehicle and the Toyota were at a stop sign when the farm vehicle backed into the SUV and tried to leave the area. The driver of the Toyota followed behind, honking to try and get the tractor operator’s attention, police said in a news release.
Arrested And Released
The tractor driver was arrested, processed, and released for the first DUI offense, but he didn't give the officers much time to miss him. Within just 17 minutes, he was found driving the tractor on the roadway again, and this time he was arrested for the second DUI.
The Pennsylvania State Police in Lancaster are currently investigating the matter.
Injuries And Damage
Thankfully, no injuries were reported in the accident, and even the 2-year-old passenger in the RAV4 escaped unharmed. However, the vehicle did sustain moderate damage to the front end, according to the incident report.
