Substitute Teacher’s Classroom Meltdown Ends in Arrest at Florida High School
A typical school day took a shocking turn at Lake Minneola High School in Lake County when a substitute teacher’s behavior spiraled out of control. Around 10:20 a.m., a school resource deputy responded to an emergency staff alert after reports of disruptive activity inside a classroom.
Inappropriate Behavior Alarms Students and Staff
When authorities arrived, they found substitute teacher Angela Faith Jourdan shouting incoherently and behaving in ways that left students and staff stunned. According to investigators, she had been yelling, pounding on desks, and making disturbing and inappropriate comments toward students. Witnesses said her actions escalated to bizarre conduct, including twerking in the classroom and making explicit remarks.
Student Reports Physical Altercation
As the situation unfolded, one student told investigators she was physically confronted while trying to leave the classroom. The student claimed Jourdan yelled at her, used derogatory language, and grabbed her by the head and neck area, briefly moving her hand toward the student’s throat.
Jourdan now faces multiple misdemeanor charges, including disorderly conduct, simple battery, and disrupting a school function. School officials have not released additional details but confirmed the incident remains under review.
