Couples In Illinois Set The Bar High For Bedroom Time
"It's been a while."
"You're just so hot."
"I'm tired and need to get up early."
That last one is probably an excuse you use only when you're married. How long does the average couple take in bed? While there are plenty of excuses as to why it didn't last long, there are also some excuses why it might go "too long". Yes, that's a thing.
"I'm drunk."
"I'm high."
"I'm dead."
Ok, those are harder (that's what she wants to say) excuses to come up with.
But at the end of the day or night, it looks like Illinois is really taking its time in bed compared to folks in Iowa who are ready for sleep.
How Long Does The Average American Last In Bed?
This new study shows that the average American lasts about 27.4 minutes. Is that just the sex part, or does that include everything...like from getting undressed to cleaning up after?
Anyways, if you are going that long, you are doing just fine. The average American wants sex to last for a minimum of 23 minutes and a maximum of 53 minutes.
83% of women have not "finished" even though their partner did. Meanwhile, 29% of men have faked the finish to just be done already. Huh...wouldn't you be able to figure that out if it was done or not?
Illinois Lasts Longer Than Iowa
That's an actual picture of a lady in Iowa watching YouTube after her fella finished too fast. Ok, it's not..but...
On average, Iowans last 25.2 minutes in bed. That is below average. Like a C-. Or maybe a D+. And not a good D+.
But in Illinois, the house is a rockin' for 33.4 minutes. Making them the 5th best in the country.
The top 3 long-lasting...Missouri, Oklahoma, and Florida. Warm weather places. Which is surprising. Cause you'd figure they'd be hot.
Meanwhile, North Dakota at 17.5 minutes and Minnesota at 18.9 minutes are the fastest. Also surprising, cause you'd figure they'd be cold and rolling around longer under the covers would be good on all those cold winter nights.
Maybe you just need that first round out of the way. It's just a warm-up. Like Preseason Football. Yeah, it's exciting, but it's not the real thing. 58% of Americans say they have sex multiple times in a single night. And 69% (nice) say they want to.
No matter where you are on the clock, just know that 3 in 4 Americans say that not lasting long enough is NOT a dealbreaker. But 46% of Americans have Googled ways to last longer in bed. So, it clearly matters enough.
