It's summer, but some people are always looking ahead to Spooky Season.  And nothing says Spooky Season like finding out where the Spirit Halloween will be

This year, it's moving to a new location in the Quad Cities, and we know the first date it will be open.

Spirit Halloween is a seasonal store.  So they don't have permanent locations.  This makes sense for the Halloween shopper who only shops for Halloween items during Halloween.  For the full year Spooky Season folks out there, they just have to be patient.

Spirit Halloween takes on short-term leases in vacant stores to avoid the high expenses of maintaining a year-round rent.

This also works well to capitalize on the seasonal demand for Halloween merchandise and creates a sense of urgency among customers.

But that means every year you might have to find the new location.

The end of one party is giving way to the start of another.

Spirit Halloween has cleaned the cobwebs out of Party City and will now be located at 5255 Elmore Ave in Davenport, Iowa.

This totally makes sense.  The layout is perfect for Spirit Halloween.  There is a TON of traffic around the area (and hopefully the road construction will be done by peak Spooky Season) for folks to stop in and get their haunted supplies.

But if you don't have to wait till October for all the ghosts, skulls, witches, and pumpkins...Spirit Halloween will officially open on August 16, 2025.

Boo!

LOOK: How Halloween has changed in the past 100 years

Stacker compiled a list of ways that Halloween has changed over the last 100 years, from how we celebrate it on the day to the costumes we wear trick-or-treating. We’ve included events, inventions, and trends that changed the ways that Halloween was celebrated over time. Many of these traditions were phased out over time. But just like fake blood in a carpet, every bit of Halloween’s history left an impression we can see traces of today.
