A Cozy Afternoon With Fellow Crafters

The Downtown Rock Island Library hosts an Adult Knitting Circle, and you don’t have to be an expert to join in. Whether Grandma has been knitting for 50 years, loves to crochet, or has always wanted to learn, everyone is welcome.

The group is a chance to work on a current project, start something new, and spend a couple of hours chatting with other people who enjoy fiber arts.

You Don't Even Have to Bring Everything

One of the nicest parts is that you can simply drop in and craft. Select knitting needles, crochet hooks, yarns, and patterns will be available for people to use during the program.

So if Grandma has a half-finished scarf sitting in a basket at home, this might be the perfect excuse to finally finish it!

Make It a Little Grandma Date

The Adult Knitting Circle meets every third Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Community Room at the Downtown Rock Island Library.

It could be the perfect little grandma-and-grandkid afternoon.
