Learn How To Get A Green Thumb At This Event
I've kept one of my favorite plants alive for 30 years, but others have died quickly under my care. Here's where we can find great gardening tips this weekend at the Focus on Fall Master Gardeners Conference.
This gardening class features two keynote presentations presented by Joe Lamp'l, the national television host of Growing a Greener World on PBS. He is highly regarded as one of the premier organic gardening pros who, according to the event description, "can boost your organic gardens for better production, better resistance, and better environmental impact." Lamp'l will also lecture on the five most common garden and landscape design mistakes.
The conference will be held on September 29th, 2018, at Scott Community College, 500 Belmont Road, Bettendorf at 8 A.M. - 3:30 P.M.
The breakout sessions include soil testing, designing for small gardens, pruning woody shrubs, herb gardening, house plants, tree identification, vertical gardening, smartphone garden photography and preparing the garden for winter.
