MidAmerican Energy Issues Peak Alert

With the heat and humidity continuing throughout the region, MidAmerican Energy has issued a peak alert and encourage their customers to conserve energy as much as possible through Friday.

They encourage you to:

• Wait until sundown to wash and dry clothes, bake or use other heat producing appliances.
• Set your thermostat a few degrees higher.
• Use fans whenever possible.
• Block the sun from your home with black out drapes or simply close the curtains.
