I used to love family game night growing up.  We, like most, had the regular board games: Sorry, Clue, Monopoly (a game I've to this day never sat all the way through).

We'd also play a lot of trivia games.  Of course, Trivial Pursuit but also "Fun & Games" with Uncle Arn was a Friday night radio classic where we'd gather our "random facts" books, dictionaries and call in guesses to win.  (or at least just to hear ourselves on the radio)

Family game night is still important to me.  We get the kids gathered around the table once a month and play the old standbys: Clue, Sorry, Spoons.  We also enjoy the dice game Left, Right, Center.  It's easy enough for the young ones but carries enough of a  gambling vibe to interest the adults.

But the most universally loved game by far is UNO!  I'm not talking about Uno Flip, UNO Flash, UNO Attack, UNO Spin, UNO Stack, or any variation of UNO other than UNO.  Just UNO!

UNO is the perfect game.  Why would you mess with it and put a Minecraft theme to screw it all up?

From the folks that brought you Geek Trivia, Board Game Sunday, and the "That's No Moon" New Years Eve Party...it's time for Nerdspeak's UNO Tournament 2022!

Here's the twist. Nerdspeak will be playing Classic UNO...but with Euro Rules!  "It's More Cutthroat", they say.

Have you been looking for a way to destroy your family dynamic? Then do we have an event for you! Nerdspeak Brewery is hosting an Uno tournament with gift card prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places!

How Would You Rate Your First Beer Back in the Day?

We asked the Quad Cities what their first beer was. Then we got on BeerAdvocate.com to see check out some reviews. Here are the best and some of the worst ones I found...

What The Quad Cities Did For Fun in the 90's

Many times over the years, I'll be talking with friends about years gone by and I'll say "take me back".

Every generation goes through this, I assume. Looking back at a more simple time where responsibilities haven't set in and life seems fun. Opportunities are endless.

Let's go back to the 1990's to Wacky Waters, 50 Cent Beer night and revisit Mallards Mania!
