Walmart has been trying to find new ways to do two things at once: increase security while keeping shopping easy. That's hard to do when stolen items are the main thing they are trying to prevent. One method that was recently reported is body cams.

A shopper in Denton also shared a photo with CNBC that showed an associate checking receipts while wearing a yellow and black body camera earlier this month.

New 2025 Changes In Illinois

It has been a goal of Walmart to find ways to make shopping easier, which could mean fewer interactions with employees. It has been stated that Walmart may have a new system in place this year to do just that. wate.com went on to report,

The American retail giant is reportedly testing a new technology that allows employees to unlock cases without manually using keys. The tech is already live in a few hundred Walmart stores.

I personally haven't seen these, but this could be a massive change in shopping and sucerity.

Unlocking Your Items With Your Phone In Walmart

It looks like Walmart is trying to help those who actually want to buy things with an easier alternative. New sources have disused a way to use your smart phone to unlock the vaults.

"Another company called Indyme has developed a “Freedom Case” that lets customers unlock merchandise using their cell phone number, an app, a store loyalty card, or even their face"
