New Davenport Restaurant Serves Up The Best Gooey Grilled Cheese

You had me at 'cheese.'

There's a new place in the Village of East Davenport that has just opened and their specialty is melted cheese on toasted bread. The Grilled Cheese Bar, 1019 Mound Street in the Village of East Davenport is open and ready to satisfy all of your melted cheese cravings.

I don't know about you, but my mom never made a grilled cheese like this for me. Take a look at some of these menu selections.

This one has bacon, fried chicken and ranch on it.

Or how about this one with turkey and avocado?

The reviews so far are great. The restaurant opened just a few days ago.

The reviews describe the restaurant as 'upscale and unique with 'a great atmosphere and price.'

In addition to unique grilled cheese sandwiches, you can get a big bread bowl filled with macaroni and cheese and.....more cheese.

The restaurant serves a variety of cocktails including pitchers of Long Island iced tea, and milkshakes.

The food menu includes a good mix of grilled cheese sandwiches like the Monte Cristo, Monster and Buffalo chicken. You'll also find broccoli and cheese and mac and cheese bread bowls, salads and tomato soup. Duh, who doesn't like to dunk a grilled cheese in tomato soup?

The Grilled Cheese Bar is closed on Mondays but they're open Tuesday thru Sunday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
