Old MacDonald’s Farm in Cedar Rapids Opens Next Week
Get ready to visit with some adorable barnyard animals! Cedar Rapids Parks & Recreation has announced the 2023 opening date for Old MacDonald's Farm!
Located at Bever Park in Cedar Rapids, Old MacDonald's Farm is a popular spot for Eastern Iowa families during the summer months. The petting farm is home to a number of chickens, pigs, ducks, goats, lambs, cattle, and more. It has actually been around for more than 100 years!
In addition to visiting with the animals, Old MacDonald's Farm also offers a variety of other programs like goat yoga. There are specific dates set for goat yoga classes for both adults and adults with children, but you can also schedule your own goat yoga party! One-hour parties for ages 13 and up are available from June through August for $125.
Old MacDonald's farm also offers two-hour birthday parties, as well as guided and unguided private group tours. You can learn more about booking these events at the farm HERE.
Other events and workshops scheduled for Old MacDonald's Farm this summer include movie nights, a county fair, story time, nature walks, birdhouse building, gardening classes, and more. You can check out all the activities scheduled the Cedar Rapids Parks & Recreation Department HERE.
Old MacDonald's Farm will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. beginning Monday May 8th and will remain open through October 1st. A minimum $1 donation is recommended for entry, but is not required. All ages are welcome!
