RME Anniversary Live @ Five

The Little Mermaid @ Music Guild
Quad City Music Guild presents a live theater version of the 1989 Disney classic.

Peter & the Starcatcher - QC Theatre Workshop
The kid-friendly show tells the back story to Peter Pan in the most playful & endearing way. There are performances at 7:30 pm and 3:00 pm.

Niabi Zoo
Niabi Zoo is home to more than 400 animals representing over 140 different species. Ride the Niabi Zoo Express replica steam engine and take a spin on the Endangered Species carousel.

Greek Cultural Festival
The festival will be held at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 4900 Kennedy Drive in East Moline. Friday hours are from 5:00-11:00 p.m. and Saturday, noon - 11:00 p.m. Admission is $2 per person or $5 for a family.
Enjoy performances and traditional Greek food.
Additional activities will include a children’s area with inflatable games, gift shop, and cultural center. Free parking across the street. - 6
Gumbo Ya-Ya Festival
Catch the spirit and energy of ‘The Quarter’ in downtown Rock Island for Gumbo Ya Ya. Cajun, Zydeco, and Jazz bands will tantalize your ears, while Cajun spiced food will heat up your taste buds. Bead tosses, confetti, feather masks, feather boas, and showgirls will complete the Mardi Gras theme.

TOMRV (Tour of the Mississippi River Valley)
TOMRV is the Tour Of the Mississippi River Valley, a Midwest cycling tradition since 1978. Every year 1,500 bicycling enthusiasts come to ride the TOMRV tour. They enjoy a well supported, challenging ride on scenic roads, through Midwest farmland, and along the Mississippi River.

Bishop Hill Honor Flight Benefit
Honor Flight returns to Bishop Hill June 11th, 3-6- p.m., with the community raising funds to send area Veterans to Washington, D. C. Fortunate Veterans who are chosen will visit memorials dedicated to honoring their sacrifices.

Splash Landing
Splash Landing in Bettendorf, Iowa, has a Caribbean theme, complete with palm trees. There is a new pool with a zero-depth area and 25 lap lanes. A gondola slide, flume slides, drop slide, and sand area complete the experience. Open daily during the summer.

Comedy Sportz
ComedySportz isn’t a comedy about sports, it’s comedy played AS a sport. It’s a competition between two teams competing for laughs and for points by making up scenes based on the audience suggestions. There are penalties, there are fouls, there’s a referee. This is serious funny business.
