Millions of Above-Ground Pools Recalled in Wisconsin

This recall is tied to tragedy after multiple deaths. This isn't an easy topic, but an important one to know.

This recall is nationwide. According to the CSPC, they were sold at Walmart, Target, Sears, Lowe’s, Kmart, Toys “R” Us, Sam’s Club, The Home Depot, Big Lots, Costco, and BJ’s.

Cheapism went on to state: Five Million Above-Ground Pools Recalled After Nine Children Drowned. This is a shocking headline that is sadly tue. Cheapism also went on to state,

On certain pool models, the strap can inadvertently create a foothold for young children to climb onto, allowing them to access the pool without any ladder, and potentially without adult supervision.

Sadly one of these deaths did happen in Wisconsin. The children were between 22 months and 3 years old.

A total of 5 million pools are part of the recall. They are all above-ground pools that are 48 inches or taller with compression straps. They were sold under four different brand names.
