As someone who loves a good snack, I had to see if my go-to foods would make it onto the list. As an Iowan, I was surprised by the results. Overall, the list for all the states only included about five items total.

Obviously, snacks are great, but it's healthier to eat real food and stick to your three meals a day. In fact, some people say snacking is actually bad for you in some cases..

Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Utah, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin.

A lot of states picked this snack… it makes sense—they're Midwesterners. It is:

Rice Krispies Treats

Cheapism went on to say,

If you grew up with sticky fingers and cereal-based desserts at bake sales, this tracks. Rice Krispies Treats are the most beloved snack in the country, taking the top spot in 18 states. Kellogg’s started mass-producing them in 1995, but the homemade version — marshmallows, melted butter, and cereal in a pan — was already a PTA legend. Nobody eats these because they're hungry.

Another great year of the BIX 7 is here! This year, the rain caused a delay until 9 a.m., but the crowd and racers still showed up, as always.
