Power is Out for 2,800 Quad Citians

Flashbacks of the derecho aren't cool. There's rain and storms in our area and no wind but almost 3,000 people in the Quad Cities are without power.

According to a QC Times article, 2,754 customers on the Iowa side and 59 customers on the Illinois side are affected. According to Mid-American Energy, crews have been dispatched and hope to have power restored by noon in Iowa.

There does not appear to be a estimated time for restoring power to those customers affected in Illinois.
