The Quad Cities River Bandits are gearing up to take on the Cedar Rapids Kernels to become champions in the new High-A Central. As the season inches closer to the end, the first-place High-A Central West Division River Bandits announce the schedule for the 2022 season. The regular season will begin in early April of next year and wrap up at the beginning of August.

On Monday, the Quad Cities River Bandits announced their 2022 regular-season schedule. They will once again be playing in the High-A Central.

The 2022 season begins with Opening Day on the road against the South Bend Cubs on Friday, April 8. The River Bandits’ home opener at Modern Woodmen Park is scheduled for Tuesday, April 12 against the Cedar Rapids Kernels.

River Bandits owner Dave Heller said in the press release,

"We are all so eager to move beyond the pandemic and get back to normal and River Bandits baseball all summer long is a big part of that. There’s no better place for a family outing or a company gathering than Modern Woodmen Park and we look forward to welcoming back people throughout Illinois and Iowa all summer long.”

Game times and a full promotional schedule will be released closer to the start of the season.

The River Bandits will be playing in the 2021 High-A Central championship series against the Cedar Rapids Kernels. The first two games will be in Cedar Rapids on Tuesday and Wednesday with the first pitches at 6:35 p.m.

Game 3 will be played at Modern Woodmen Park on Friday, September 24th, first pitch at 6:30 p.m. If necessary, games 4 and 5 will also be played at Modern Woodmen Park with first pitches also happening at 6:30 p.m.
