Record lovers rejoice! Davenport's Ragged Records is opening a second location. This store will be located in Rock Island on the second floor of the old Laborspace building on Third Avenue. This according to a story in the Quad City Times.

The new store will not only carry new and used vinyl, but will also feature vintage stereo gear as well as vintage music gear, amps, guitars, keyboards and accessories.

I'm most excited about the new store's planned hours. The Davenport location closes at 5PM daily. That makes it hard for me to hop on over after work on pay day and browse their selections. I'm excited that the Rock Island location will have evening hours on Thursday, Friday and Saturday making it easier for me to get my vinyl fix.

If you're into records in any shape or form you'll love the vinyl Ragged Records has. There's LP's for the serious collector. Plenty of records in good shape at a good price for those looking to build (or in my case re-build) a collection. Even re-issues on 180 gram vinyl and new releases. My last find at Ragged was "Twilley Don't Mind" by the Dwight Twilley Band. As an LP advocate, I urge you to find yours now!
