The Best Grocery Store in 2024 Is Located In Iowa

There are plenty of great stores in and throughout the Midwest. As an Iowan I have seen Hy-Vee hit some highs and lows when it comes to public perception, but it looks like they hit a major high this year.

Hy-Vee Voted Best Grocery Store in America in USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.

This is actually the first year Hy-Vee has ranked No. 1 on the list. In previous years, the company has ranked within the top three spots.

Founded nearly 95 years ago, Hy-Vee has become known for its superior service and commitment to quality, variety, convenience, healthy lifestyles and culinary expertise. Today, the retailer operates more than 570 business units across the U.S. and is one of the largest employee-owned companies in the nation. The USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards is conducted annually. A panel of experts
nominates 20 grocery stores as the best in the U.S. for their o:erings, selection and great service. USA TODAY readers are then encouraged to cast their votes during a 28-day voting period. The nominated stores who received the most votes are designated as the Readers’ Choice for their category.

This is a pretty cool to see as an Iowan.
